BTS star Jung Kook announces new single with Jack Harlow

After making Official Singles Chart history in July, BTS star Jung Kook is teaming up with Jack Harlow for a new single coming later this week. 

Titled 3D, the single is described by Jung Kook's label Big Hit Music as "a Pop R&B track with clever expressions of feelings toward an unattainable person from the perspectives of first, second, and third dimensions". 

The label also teases: "Get ready to meet an even more mature side of Jung Kook following Seven (feat. Latto). Jack Harlow has featured in this track, bringing his unique rap style and adding zest to the song."

The single will be released this Friday, 29th September. It's Jung Kook's follow-up to Seven, which stormed to Number 3 on the Official Singles Chart when it was released in July, setting a new record for the highest-charting debut for a song by a solo Korean act. 

Seven is Jung Kook's first Top 10 single as a solo artist, though he also has four Top 10 singles to his name as a member of BTS: Dynamite (Number 3), Life Goes On (10), Butter (3) and My Universe with Coldplay (3). Check out BTS's Top 40 biggest songs in the UK.

Meanwhile, Jack's highest position on the Official Singles Chart to date is a Number 2 peak for First Class in 2022. Will 3D be the song to take him to the top spot? Watch this space after it drops on Friday.

3D is taken from Jung Kook's forthcoming debut solo album GOLDEN, which is due for release 3 November 2023.
