Did you see this one coming? Twins Matt and Luke Goss have announced they're to perform together again as Bros, 25 years after their last hit.

After weeks of speculation, in a press conference hosted by Big Brother presenter Emma Willis, Matt and Luke confirmed they'd be reforming for a huge comeback gig at London's O2 in August 2017.

Well today was rather exciting! Bros are back and have announced a show at The O2 on August 19th, 2017.

A phenomenon of the late '80s thanks to their catchy self-penned songs and unique style – which included wearing bottle tops on your shoes – Bros are now back and ready to tell you they owe you nothing all over again.

Luke, who was the band's drummer seemed over the moon as he said: "I always wanted this to happen in my heart, but I wanted it to be the right time. It's a dream come true."

And according to vocalist Matt, it's going to be emotional. "Nothing has ever compared to having my brother on stage with me. We're more aware artistically than we have ever been, he said. "We've experienced a lot. It's going to be a spectacle. I know without question that this will be the best show that Bros has ever done."

"I wanna say thank you to the fans and give them something worthy of the wait."

Originally formed as a three-piece with the twins' pal Craig Logan on guitar, Bros had eight straight Top 10 hits between in 1988 and 1989, including a chart-topper, I Owe You Nothing. Craig departed after the first five, and went on to work behind the scenes but the twins continued as a duo, scoring their 11th and final Top 40 hit with Try in 1991.

When asked whether they'd be open to Craig rejoining the group, Luke said, "He's more than welcome". However, don't get your hopes up. "Craig left a long time ago. We feel the two of us together – we are Bros." No word from Craig yet, but we reckon he might be a bit busy – his company manages stars like Anastacia and Dido.

The band's last UK gig together was August 19, 1989 at Wembley Stadium. Matt and Luke will take the O2 stage exactly 28 years later – on August 19, 2017.

Tickets go on sale on Friday October 17 at 11am.
