BRIT Awards winner Ben Howard is on course for his first Top 20 single, while fellow BRITs star Emeli Sande looks set to return to the top of the Official Albums Chart this Sunday.
Ben Howard is on course for his first ever Top 20 single following his BRIT Awards 2013 wins on Wednesday evening (February 20).
Howard, who won the British Male and Breakthrough Awards at this year’s ceremony, has seen sales of his single Only Love increase by 2789% since he performed the track at the BRITs. Only Love climbs an incredible 179 places from Number 190 to Number 11 on today’s Official Singles Chart sales flash.
Fellow BRITs performer Justin Timberlake looks set to have two tracks in the Official Singles Chart Top 20 this Sunday with Mirrors climbing 23 places to Number 5, and Suit And Tie up three places to Number 13. British Group winners Mumford And Sons' I Will Wait climbs 32 places to Number 14, and International Female nominee Taylor Swift re-enters the Top 10 with I Knew You Were Trouble at Number 8).
British Female and Album Of The Year winner Emeli Sande remains static at Number 9 with Clown, while One Direction, who won the Global Success Award, are still leading the race to Number 1 with One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks).
Over on the Official Albums Chart, Emeli Sande’s Our Version Of Events looks set to return to Number 1 on Sunday in its 54th week on the chart. Mumford And Sons’ Babel is up two to Number 5, Ben Howard’s Every Kingdom soars 41 places to Number 5, and Taylor Swift’s Red climbs 18 places to Number 7.
