The Last Dinner Party win BRITs Rising Star 2024
The group beat off tough competition from Caity Baser and Sekou
The winners of BRITs Rising Star 2024 has been announced, with The Last Dinner Party scooping the prize.
As announced on Clara Amfo's BBC Radio 1 Future Sounds show, the group beat off tough competition from fellow shortlisted artists Caity Baser and Sekou to be named one of 2024's most promising new acts.
The five-piece, comprising Georgia Davies, Lizzie Mayland, Abigail Morris, Aurora Nishevci and Emily Roberts, join an impressive list of Rising Star winners, with the likes of Adele, Sam Fender and FLO previously being recognised.

On their win, The Last Dinner party said: "We are so proud beyond measure to have won the BRITs Rising Star. It’s an honour to achieve something so iconic so early on in our career and we can only hope to keep making music that connects with all the incredible people who have listened to and supported us so far. Thank you!"
The Last Dinner Party formed in 2020, with members Abbie, Lizzie and Emily creating a band with the original moniker The Dinner Party. Recommendations from friends then saw final members Georgia and Aurora enter the fold.
Following their first-ever performance at London's The George in 2021, the group were quickly snapped-up by Island Records as they signed a major label deal.

The Last Dinner Party's debut single Nothing Matters, produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Jessie Ware) was released in July 2023. The track peaked at Number 16 on the Official Singles Sales Chart.
