Let's dive in.

15. Thick Of It - KSI ft. Trippie Redd

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 6
Total UK chart units: 261,000

KSI's second link-up with US rapper Trippie Redd combines elements of both trap and emo-pop for an emotionally bracing 'catch-up' into KSI's life as he prepares to finish his third album. Last year, it became his ninth UK Top 10 single.

14. Now And Then - The Beatles

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 266,000

The 'final' single from the most successful UK chart act of all time, Now And Then was always going to be an event. But to say that Now And Then exceeded even the biggest Beatles fan's expectations would be an understatement. It's Number 1 debut broke several Official Chart records, becoming a fitting coda in the career of an act who, perhaps more than any other, changed pop music forever.

13. You're Christmas To Me - Sam Ryder

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 2
Total UK chart units: 291,000

Who said you can't listen to a Christmas song in March?! You're Christmas To Me was the surprise hit of the Christmas Number Race 2023, peaking at Number 2 but sadly losing out to WHAM! at the time

12. Angel Of My Dreams - JADE

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 7
Total UK chart units: 347,000

'Hey Mike...let's do something crazy!' So goes the opening of JADE's debut solo single Angel Of My Dreams, a determined and supremely confident introduction to an artist dedicated to interrogating the boundaries of commercial pop music. It was a supremely nice surprise to see Angel Of My Dreams become the first single by a Little Mix alum to both spend two weeks in the Top 10 and be nominated for two (!) BRITs. Call that pop justice.

11. feelslikeimfallinginlove - Coldplay

Artist: Coldplay
Official Singles Chart peak: Number 16
Total UK chart units: 382,000

As Coldplay's hitmaking operation begins to wind down, the wistful feelslikeimfallinginlove was the lead single to Moon Music, Chris Martin and co's landmark 10th UK Number 1 album, and was the second of their records to be executive produced by Swedish pop wizard Max Martin. It also has the distinction of being the only Song of the Year nominee to not break the UK Top 10.

10. KEHLANI - Jordan Adetunji

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 8
Total UK chart units: 473,000

If you're looking for muses, you could a lot worse then genre-crossing US R&B savant Kehlani. Turns out, she was the vessel for Northern Irish singer and rapper Jordan Adetunji's breakthrough UK single. Even better, the actual Kehlani ended up guesting on a remix of the track that helped push it into the Top 10.

9. BAND4BAND - Central Cee ft. Lil Baby

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 3
Total UK chart units: 519,000

Central Cee's approach to his Number 1 debut album CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS was one of extreme confidence. Nowhere is that more apt than this link-up with Lil Baby. It was the first of three Top 10 singles taken from the LP; also including GBP with 21 Savage and CRG with Dave.

8. Somedays - Sonny Fodera, Jazzy & D.O.D

7. Guess - Charli xcx ft. Billie Eilish

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 541,000

Charli xcx's first Number 1 single as a lead artist (her first chart-topper was thanks to her feature on Icona Pop's glitchy I Love It) was a long-time coming. The ultimate vindication of BRAT, and BRAT Summer, as a cultural institution. Even better? Bringing Billie Eilish along for the ride.

6. BACKBONE - Chase & Status & Stormzy

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1
Total UK chart units: 564,000

Chase & Status are one of the most influential British dance acts working today, and it was a pleasure to see them finally reach Number 1 in the UK this past summer, especially with the bone-cracking base of BACKBONE, with a bravura central performance from Stormzy.

5. Training Season - Dua Lipa

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 4
Total UK chart units: 592,000

She needs someone to hold her close! Deeper than she's ever known! There were distinct shades of ABBA on Radical Optimism's second single, written about Dua's displeasure at going on a string of terrible dates. We feel you, girl.

4. Alibi - Ella Henderson ft. Rudimental

Official Singles Chart peak: Number 10
Total UK chart units: 664,000

Ella Henderson and Rudimental take a brave sample of the late Coolio's 1995 former Number 1 Gangsta's Paradise. It helped this dramatic dance track surge into the Top 10.
