Bob Marley and the Wailers announce 50th anniversary release of Catch A Fire
it was the first LP released by the group under long-time label Island.
Bob Marley and the Wailers' classic record Catch A Fire is receiving a very special new re-issue for its 50th anniversary.
Catch A Fire was the fifth album released by the Wailers, but was their first under long-time record label Island. It's now regarded as a touchstone LP for the emerging reggae movement, spearheaded of course by Marley.
While Catch A Fire never charted in the UK upon its original release, Marley's compilation record Legend is one of the longest-charting albums in Official Charts history, having a presence on the Official Albums Chart for more than 1,000 weeks and is one of the best-selling LPs of all time in the UK.
The landmark re-release also arrives ahead of the much-anticipated biographical film celebrating Marley's life and legacy, produced by his family and starring Kinglsey Ben-Adir (Marvel's Secret Invasion) as the man himself.
