BLACKPINK star Rosé has announced that her debut album – rosie – will be released on 6 December.

She shared the news in an Instagram post in which she revealed that the album has been a year in the making.

"I fell asleep many nights feeling confused and lost," Rosé confided. "But with the support of my dear friends and family, my team, and of course my number ones, I am sat here today excited to announce the date of my album release."

She continued: "I have poured my blood and tears into this album. I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine. Rosie is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me."

She also posted its super-cute cover art.

Rosé announced last week that she has signed a global solo deal with Atlantic Records. Though she has yet to share rosie's full tracklist, a press release from Atlantic Records confirms that the album has 12 tracks.

The press release describes the album as Rosé's "most personal and candid release to date, with her co-writing and co-producing the project in its entirety".

Rosé has already made her Official Singles Chart debut as a solo artist with On the Ground, which zoomed to Number 43 back in 2021. There is no word yet on whether On the Ground will appear on rosie.

Meanwhile, Rosé is also expected to be back in band mode soon. BLACKPINK's label YG Entertainment confirmed last week that they group are plotting a major comeback in 2025 including a world tour.
