Blinks assemble! BLACKPINK star Jennie has announced that she'll release a new solo single on 11 October.

Titled Mantra, it's Jennie's first single of 2024 and follows last month's announcement that she's signed a new solo deal with Columbia Records.

Ahead of Mantra's release, Jennie shared a teaser clip on Instagram, which you can check out below.

The clip's lyrics point to Mantra being a full-on party girl anthem. "It's not that deep, I'm not that drunk / Sometimes girls just gotta have fun," Jennie sings. "Throw it back, all that ass / Me and my sis, we’re too attached."

Jennie has already made two solo appearances on the Official Singles Chart. You & Me peaked at Number 39 last October; then One of the Girls, her collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, climbed to Number 21 earlier this year.

The latter, of course, was recorded for the HBO show The Idol, which Jennie appeared in alongside The Weeknd and Lily-Rose.

Jennie's single announcement adds to a busy year of solo activity for BLACKPINK. Back in April, her bandmate LISA became the first band member to sign a solo deal when she joined the roster over at RCA Records.

She has since released two solo singles: Rockstar, which peaked at Number 49 on the Official Singles Chart in July, and New Woman with Rosalia, which charted at Number 55 in August.

Meanwhile, Rosé announced last week that she has signed her own global solo deal with Atlantic Records.

But... don't worry that all this solo activity will keep BLACKPINK on hold. The group's label YG Entertainment confirmed last week that they're plotting a major comeback in 2025 including a world tour. So, it looks as though we're truly going to be getting the best of both worlds.
