Beyonce’s new advert for soft drink giant Pepsi was posted online this afternoon (Thursday, April 4).

The one minute clip sees the US star rehearsing for her upcoming tour in a dance studio and is confronted by past incarnations of herself - Bootylicious Beyonce, Sasha Fierce and Crazy In Love Beyonce – in the studio’s mirrors. The ad is set to a new Beyonce song, titled Grown Woman.

“I had so much fun collaborating on this campaign with Pepsi,” said Beyonce. “I got to re-live some of my favourite past characters and looks. It was the first time I saw those costumes in years and it was very emotional.

“I’m proud of those moments and they all connect in some way and have helped me evolve into who I am today,” she added.

Beyonce teased the ad yesterday evening (Wednesday, April 3) by posting a six second video on YouTube. It finished on a slide containing today’s date and the Twitter hashtag #BeyHereNow.

Beyonce is one of the US’s biggest chart stars in recent times; during her 15 year recording career, she has clocked up 15 Official Singles Chart Top 40 singles with Destiny’s Child, and has scored a further 38 Top 40 hits as a solo artist. To date, she has appeared on seven Official Number 1s.

In related news, Beyonce’s The Mrs Carter Show world tour will kick off in Serbia on April 15 before hitting the UK on April 26. The tour includes seven dates at London’s O2 Arena.
