Becky Hill and David Guetta's new single Remember is a dancing-through-tears summer anthem
Becky Hill has been lighting up dancefloors for a while now, notching up 11 Top 40 singles since 2013, but you'd be forgiven for shedding a tear while throwing shapes to her new single, titled Remember.
A collaboration with David Guetta - who extends his run of silent-but-deadly collabs in 2021 to four - Remember is a dancing-through-tears house pop anthem about shaking off those far from ideal moments when an old flame briefly reignites itself in the mind.
UPDATE: Listen to Remember below:
"Every time I walk past your house in the rain/ To the the time I said you were the biggest mistake/ And just when I think I'm finally doing okay - that's when I remember," she sings over a thumping piano-house chorus.
It all culminates in a simple "I'm missing you" at the end, which, when the inevitable stripped-down version surfaces, we'll most likely be a blubbering mess.
Remember feels like it completes a trifecta of triumphant, moving-on-and-moving-up club bangers from Becky, following last year's Better Off Without You and her most recent single Last Time. Even better, it feels like a moment that solidifies her sound, perfectly timed for her impending (fingers crossed) new album.
Remember is release on Friday, June 18. Listen to a preview from Becky herself below:
