Huge congratulations are due to beabadoobee, who lands at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart for the first time today with This Is How Tomorrow Moves

The third LP from the Filipino-British singer-songwriter (real name Beatrice Laus), This Is How Tomorrow Moves debuts straight at the top of the Official Albums Chart, becoming the first chart-topper of beabadoobee’s career.

She’s previously hit the Top 10 on the Official Albums Chart with 2020’s Fake It Flowers (8) and 2022’s Beatopia (4).

Speaking to Official Charts on her first UK Number 1 album, beabadoobee says:

“I just got a Number 1! I am so over the moon. I want to thank the fans for buying and streaming this record and getting this album to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart. I am so, so happy. I wouldn’t have done it without you guys and everyone who worked on this record. Thank you. I love you all so much!”

This Is How Tomorrow Moves also debuts at Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart, making it the most popular purchase from record shops across the country this week and is the best-selling album on vinyl too, topping the Official Vinyl Albums Chart for good measure.
