Bastille’s Pompeii is STILL the UK’s most listened to track
Bastille top the Official Streaming Chart for the third week in a row with Pompeii.
Three weeks on from when they first topped the Official Streaming Chart, and Pompeii by Bastille is STILL the UK’s most listened to track.
Taken from their Number 1 album, Bad Blood, Pompeii ended Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ four week run at Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart with Thrift Shop.
Launched in May of last year, the Official Streaming Chart is the first chart which ranks audio streams from both ad-funded and subscription streaming services in the UK, to reflect the growing interest in this new generation of music services.
Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors climbs one place to Number 2 on this week’s Chart, while Thrift Shop is down one place to Number 3. This week’s Official Streaming Chart Top 5 is completed by Bruno Mars’ When I Was Your Man (4) and I Could Be The One by Avicii and Nicky Romero (5).
New entries
There are a total of 10 new entries on this week’s Official Streaming Chart, with the lion’s share belonging to Justin Timberlake.
The US chart throb, who debuted at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart on Sunday with his third album, The 20/20 Experience, sees five tracks from the album making their Official Streaming Chart debuts: Pusher Love Girl is new in at Number 43, Don’t Hold The Wall is at 61, Strawberry Bubblegum is at 64, Tunnel Vision is at 78, and That Girl debuts at Number 97.
The highest new entry, however, is What About Us? by The Saturdays FT Sean Paul. The track became the Anglo Irish girl group’s first Official Number 1 single on Sunday.
This week’s new entries are completed by Nelly’s Hey Porsche (56) Stereophonics’ Indian Summer (89), Calvin Harris’ I Need Your Love FT Ellie Goulding (99) and Kendrick Lamar’s Swimming Pools (Drank) at Number 100.
This week’s highest climber is Boomerang by Nicole Scherzinger, which soars 49 places from Number 99 to Number 50.
