Bastille and The 1975 are among the winners at the Q Awards 2016
Past, present and future icons of the music business gathered last night for the 2016 Q Awards, with U2 taking home two awards, leading this year's tally.
OfficialCharts.com spoke to the stars on the red carpet at this year's ceremony, including Blondie and Meat Loaf. Watch below:
The Edge added the prestigious Q Gibson Les Paul Award to his trophy cabinet, while the Irish band took home the Q Best Live Award. However, they were not voted the Q Best Act in the World Today Award, a gong that was taken home by Muse.
Jack Garratt was honoured as the Q Breakthrough Act, with James Bay taking home the Q Best Solo prize. Bastille's Good Grief was named Q Best Track, while The 1975's Number 1 album I Like It When You Sleep... was awarded the trophy for Q Best Album.

Several awards also tipped their hats to some fantastic legacy acts. Madness - who are on course for a Top 5 album this week - were bestowed the Q Hall of Fame prize, while Blondie were gifted the Q Outstanding Contribution to Music award. Meat Loaf held back the tears as he was presented with the Q Hero Award.
