Band Aid is back! To celebrate 40 years since 'the song that changed the world,' Sir Bob Geldof, Midge Ure and Trevor Horn announce Band Aid 40, which will bring together three decades of Do They Know It's Christmas? for the very first time.

Just announced, the new Do They Know It's Christmas? 2024 Ultimate Mix will include vocalists from three chart-topping versions of the single released by Band Aid, Band Aid 20 and Band Aid 30.

This brand-new cut of the track is produced by Trevor Horn, with a music video helmed by Oliver Murray (who created the clip for The Beatles' 'final' UK Number 1 single, Now and Then), and artwork by Sir Peter Blake, designer of the original Band Aid visual.

Shouldn't have posted this until advent guys. You just told us what the Number 1 is no reason to listen to the christmas chart now other than festive music.

Band Aid is undefeated since they started making them and it will remain undefeated for a new versions lifetime on every announcement of a new version.

This was a dangerous post guys as you just gave us 100% confirmed spoilers or as good as because everyone's bets are always on the following 5 and 10 editions of this because it has the undefeated streak and everyone would win their share of money on that wager as well.

The last Band Aid single wasn't the Christmas number one - it wasn't even in the top ten on Christmas Day. Releasing it as early as it is runs the risk of peaking before Christmas then falling away.

such a good cause , and so many artists over the last 40 years, it a shame band aid 2 1989 version that was top for a few weeks at Christmas any artist is not included on this mix, for me after the band aid 20 my favourite the 2nd one 1989 version is my second favourite version a version that’s doesn’t often get played now.
