Atomic Blonde starring Charlize Theron is set for this week's highest new entry on the Official Video Chart

Charlize Theron’s Atomic Blonde is set to make a thrilling debut on this week’s Official Video Chart.

In today Official Video Chart Update, a mid-week look at DVD and Blu-ray sales in the UK, the spy movie is new at Number 3, which would land the action flick as this week’s highest new entry.

Last week’s Number 1, War for the Planet of the Apes is set to sit on the throne for two weeks, but Spider-Man: Homecoming (2) could spin its way to a second week at Number 1, currently less than 4,000 copies behind.

Meanwhile, former chart topper Despicable Me 3 (4) continues to sell well in its fifth week on sale, and Captain Underpants: First Epic Movie is heading for a Top 10 debut, currently at 6.

New entries and high climbers

Adventure comedy Girls Trip has so far journeyed to Number 15 on the Official Chart Update, ahead of Shada, a previously unaired serial of Doctor Who that was abandoned in 1979 following strike action at the BBC and since completed, at Number 16.

Further down, a new 4K UHD version of Terminator 2: Judgement Day is at at Number 24, Twin Peaks: A Limited Event Series is also Top 40 bound at Number 25,and Supernatural horror Annabelle: Creation is spooking fans at Number 28.

Finally, the latest release from Nickelodeon star Jojo Siwa, My World, is at Number 33.
