ATEEZ take on Peter Gabriel as they head for first UK Number 1 album with THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL
K-pop group ATEEZ could net their first UK Number 1 album with THE WORLD EP.FIN : WILL this week.
The South Korean eight-piece, comprising Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho, previously scored a Top 10 with the second of three THE WORLD EP releases, THE WORLD EP.2 : OUTLAW, in April of this year (10).
But it’s by no means a done deal yet, as just 1,500 UK chart units separate ATEEZ from the midweek Number 2; Peter Gabriel’s i/o (Bright-Side Mix). The Surrey-born musician’s first collection of new material since 2002 LP Up, it looks set to become his highest-charting album in 31 years, since 1992’s Number 2-peaking Us.

Pink’s former Number 1 album TRUSTFALL looks set to return to the Top 5 following the release of a Tour Deluxe Edition (5).
After her performance of DJ Play a Christmas Song on last week’s The Graham Norton Show, Cher’s Christmas could reach a new peak and earn the icon an 11th Top 10 album (7). The collection sees Cher team up with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Michael Bublé and Cyndi Lauper.

Soft Cell’s 1981 debut studio LP Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret eyes a return to the Top 40 for the first time in 41 years thanks to a multi-format reissue (14). The Corrs’ 2001 hits compilation Best of The Corrs is also set to see uplift following a reissue (26); its new version featuring three tracks dedicated to the late Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac.
Close behind, Light Years, Kate Rusby’s seventh Christmas album, could see the English folk star score a fourth Top 40 LP (28).
Travis Scott’s chart-topping UTOPIA could wing its way back into the Top 40 this week, up 21 places (30), and finally, English music producer Trevor Horn could earn his second Top 40 collection with covers album ECHOES - ANCIENT & MODERN (31).
