Things are about to get a lot sweeter for Ariana Grande this week, as her new album Sweetener is set to debut at Number 1 on this week’s Official Albums Chart.
Just three days after its release, Ariana’s fourth album has not only already eclipsed the first-week sales of her last record, 2016’s Dangerous Woman, Sweetener also becomes the fastest seller of her career to date, so far shifting 26,000 across physical and digital outlets. Sweetener features Top 5 hits No Tears Left To Cry and God Is A Woman, while album track Breathin’ is on course to debut inside this week’s Official Singles Chart Top 10, currently at 8.

Meanwhile, last week’s Number 1 album, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, is 15,000 behind at Number 2.
New entries and high climbers
Manchester-born rapper Bugzy Malone is on track to land his fourth consecutive Top 5 album with new collection B. Inspired, currently at Number 5, British punk rock duo Slaves are new at 6 with their third album Acts Of Fear And Love, and London singer-songwriter Gabrielle could be looking at her first Top 10 in 14 years this week; new album Under My Skin starts at Number 7.
Further down, US indie-rockers Death Cab For Cutie open at 18 with their ninth record Thank You For Today, Neil Diamond is at 20 with live album Hot August Night III, and Billy Fury orchestral album The Symphonic Sound Of Fury is at 25 midweek.
New Stefflon Don mixtape Secure is at 29, and Oh Sees’ Smote Reverser (37), Mitski’s Be The Cowboy (38) and Ten Millennia’s Love Won’t Wait (40) are all eyeing a Top 40 placing this Friday.
