Ariana Grande's 7 Rings lands at Number 1 on the Official Trending Chart
Ariana Grande lands straight in at Number 1 on this week's Official Trending Chart with her latest single 7 Rings.
After two weeks of teasers posted online by Grande, the star released her latest single last Friday (Jan. 18) along with its plush and very pink music video.
In its first three days on sale, 7 Rings racked up 5.78 million streams in the UK, split between 3.42 million audio streams and 2.1 million plays of its video. As things stand, its on track to become her fourth Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart this Friday (Jan. 25).
Drill MC Russ is also making big gains this week with Gun Lean thanks a new remix featuring Taze, LD, Digga D, Ms Banks and Lethal Bizzle, which is set to take it into the Top 10 over on the singles chart.
Meanwhile, London singer Mabel is making waves with her new single Don't Call Me Up, while rising star Lewis Capaldi is seeing his latest track Someone You Loved continue to grow week-on-week and could finish inside the Top 20 this Friday.
Further down this week's trending Top 20, Breathe by British DJ duo CamelPhat is picking up steam and edging closer to entering the Top 40, while The 1975 are seeing a resurgence for It's Not Living (If It's Not With You) following their performance on The Graham Norton Show.
Finally, James Blake also makes it into this week's Official Trending Chart with Mile High. The song is lifted from his new album Assume Form and could become his first Top 40 entry in eight years this Friday, following the Number 39 peak of Limit To Your Love in 2011.

About the Official Trending Chart
The Official Trending Chart highlights the hottest new tracks beginning to make an impact in the UK every week.
The Top 20 rundown, published on OfficialCharts.com every Tuesday, based on the first four days’ sales of each chart week, is designed to highlight emerging hits as they begin to scale the Official Charts and build buzz.
The Official Trending Chart ranks titles which are showing week-on-week chart growth, and is the only “new music” chart to reflect audio track sales and streams comprehensively across all services.
Devised by the Official Charts Company in close consultation with labels, retailers and media, since launching in 2016, the chart has already highlighted future Number 1 singles including Rudimental's These Days, Shotgun by George Ezra, and Jess Glynne's I'll Be There.

If Ariana Grande's "7 Rings" enters at #1 on Friday, this will be at least the 5th #1 song credited to Broadway composer Richard Rodgers to top the UK charts.
Rodgers co-wrote a number of classic musicals including Babes In Arms, Oklahoma, The King and I, Carousel and most famously The Sound of Music. "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music is the basis of the melody of "7 Rings", and Rodgers & Hammerstein are listed (far too far down) the credited songwriters.
Richard Rodgers UK #1 songs:
"Blue Moon" by the Marcels, 1961
"You'll Never Walk Alone" (from Carousel) by Gerry & the Pacemakers (1963)
"Happy Talk" (from South Pacific) by Captain Sensible (1982)
"You'll Never Walk Alone" by The Crowd, (an all-star charity single, (1985)
"7 Rings" (based on "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music), by Ariana Grande (2019)
If history is any indicator, we should expect yet another UK #1 version of "You'll Never Walk Alone" in the next 2-3 years.
