Ariana Grande Number 1 album eternal sunshine

Arianators assemble! Ariana Grande has announced a short film to accompany the upcoming deluxe edition of her latest album, Eternal Sunshine.

Ari shared a teaser for the short film on Instagram, where she revealed that it's a collaboration with director Christian Breslauer.

He directed all three music videos from the Eternal Sunshine album – yes, and?, we can't be friends (wait for your love) and the boy is mine – so he's very much a key collaborator during this era. Breslauer is quickly becoming one of the go-to filmmakers for pop star visuals, having helmed the video shoots for stars like Lil Nas X (Industry Baby), SZA (Kill Bill) and Jisso (Earthquake) in recent years.

The short film is due on 28 March, the same day as the deluxe edition drops. We know the reissue is titled eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead, but Ari has yet to share the full track list.

MORE: Where every Ariana Grande song and album has charted in the UK

The original version of eterna; sunshine was released in March 2024 and became Ariana's fifth consecutive Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart. To date, it's spent a hefty 48 minutes on the chart, fuelled by the success of its Number 2 singlesyes, and? and the Robyn-esque we can't be friends (wait for your love), both of which were produced Swedish pop maverick Max Martin, behind some of her biggest hits like Problem, Into You and Bang Bang.

Since then, Ariana has been busy with Wicked, the movie musical for which she earned Oscar and BAFTA nominations. Back in January it debuted at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart having already seen its soundtrack stormed to the top of the Official Compilations Chart

The movie's soaring signature song, Defying Gravity, which Ariana sings with fellow Oscar and BAFTA nominee Cynthia Erivo, also became a major success when it peaked at Number 7 on the Official Singles Chart. Really, she can't put a foot wrong lately – and we love to see it.
