Ariana Grande announces new single Imagine

Ariana Grande may be at the top of the charts right now, but that isn't going to stop her releasing another single this week.

The singer is putting out a new track called Imagine at midnight this Friday (Dec 14). She also posted a countdown on her Instagram page, which has since been removed.

Grande is currently Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with thank u, next, the lead single from her upcoming fifth album. The track recently scored the biggest one week streams in the UK, notching up 14.9 million plays, 7.9 million of which were from its internet-breaking music video. 

The star is currently in line to claim this year's Official Christmas Number 1, alongside other contenders Nothing Breaks Like A Heart by Mark Ronson & Miley Cyrus, Sweet But Psycho by Ava Max and more. See the full list here. 

If she does it, she'll join the likes of Ed Sheeran, Spice Girls, Queen and Girls Aloud, who all have a festive chart-topper (or multiple, in some cases).
