Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom retains its reign over Official Film Chart
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom retains its reign over the Official Film Chart for a third non-consecutive week.
The blockbuster, starring Jason Mamoa, Amber Heard and Nicole Kidman, first debuted at Number 1 on February 14; before vaulting 22 places back to the summit last week (March 27).
This week’s highest new entry comes courtesy of One Life (3). It tells the true story of Sir Nicholas ‘Nicky’ Winton, a young London broker who, in the months leading up to World War II, rescued 669 predominantly Jewish children from the Nazis.
The Easter Bank Holiday weekend sees Hop jump 34 places back into the Top 10 this week (4). The 2011 film sees E.B., the Easter Bunny’s son, head to Hollywood in pursuit of his rock’n’roll drummer dream.
Also leaping up the Official Film Chart this week is Wish, up 20 spots (5). With Ariana DeBose as the voice of Asha, Wish sees the lead character get more than she bargained for when wishing upon a star.
Finally, Yorgos Lanthimos-directed comedy drama Poor Things – starring Emma Stone and Mark Ruffalo – makes its Top 10 debut this week following its release on disc (10).
