All Time Low top Official Record Store Chart

Don’t Panic by All Time Low was the most purchased album in the UK’s independent record shops last week.

The US pop punks have gone straight to Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart, relegating last week’s chart topper, Muse’s The 2nd Law, to fifth place.

Psychedelic Australian rockers, Tame Impala are new in at Number 2 with their second album, Lonerism, while Mumford And Sons’ Babel slides one place to Number 3. This week’s Top 5 is completed by Dog Is Dead’s All Our Favourite Stories at Number 4.

New Entries

In addition to All Time Low (Number 1), Tame Impala (2) and Dog Is Dead (4), there are eight new entries on this week’s Official Record Store Chart.

Veteran US rockers Kiss are new in at Number 8 with their 20th studio album, Monster, while ELO mainman Jeff Lynne’s Long Wave debuts at Number 11. Tall Ships’ Everything Touching enters at Number 12, Ty Segall’s Twins is at Number 15 and Godspeen You Black Emeror’s Allelujah Don’t Bend Ascend debuts at Number 16.

Ellie Goulding’s second album, Halcyon, enters at Number 20, while ELO’s latest Best Of collection, All Over The World, debuts at Number 22, and Daphni’s Jiaolong is at Number 29.

The Official Record Store Chart was launched in April of this year by the Official Charts Company and the orgainizers of Record Store Day UK to reflect sales the UK’s coolest and most vibrant independent record shops. You can see this week's Top 40 in full, here.
