Alex Warren scores longest-running Number 1 of the year, Ed Sheeran & Sleep Token debut in Top 10
Ordinary matches Lola Young's Messy as the only tracks to make it a month at Number 1 in 2025 so far.

In extraordinary news, Alex Warren makes it a straight month at Number 1 in the UK.
Ordinary retains its spot at the top of the Official Singles Chart, and now ties with Lola Young’s Messy as the longest-running chart-topper of the year so far.
But there’s more! With 8.5 million streams, Ordinary also holds onto its title as the most-streamed song in the UK over the last seven days.
Are you ready to dance? Ed Sheeran leaps to this week’s highest new entry. Azizam is a hotshot debut at Number 3, Ed’s first Top 10 single in almost two years (following 2023’s chart-topping Eyes Closed) and his landmark 42nd Top 10 hit.
Huge congratulations are also due to South African-German MC WizTheMc and British-German production collective Bees & Honey, who score their first Top 10 hit with Show Me Love. The track lifts six to Number 8.
In a watershed moment for one of the most exciting (and mysterious) rock acts in the country right now, Sleep Token have officially claimed their first Top 10 single. Caramel, which debuts at Number 10. Sleep Token – whose members remain anonymous – celebrated their first Top 40 entry with Emergence (17) just three weeks ago.
Ravyn Lenae continues to rise, with Love Me Not up one inside the Top 20 (14), while Leon Thomas’s MUTT jumps three (19).
Benson Boone’s Sorry I’m Here For Someone Else dances up seven to a brand-new peak (21), while Miley Cyrus’s contemplative End of the World becomes her 26th UK Top 40 single (23).
sombr sees two songs reach new peaks today; back to friends is up 10 (25) and undressed lifts nine (28).
Sonny Fodera & Clementine Douglas’s Tell Me is also on the rise, up 10 (26), as Mancunian DJ Morgan Seatree makes his UK Top 40 debut with Say My Name, up 17 week-on-week (31).
Ely Oaks’ Running Around jumps to a new peak of Number 32, while our final new entry of the week comes from PinkPantheress, whose coquettish new banger Tonight debuts at Number 35. It’s her 5th Top 40 single.
Finally, Nathan Dawe and Abi Flynn jump up 18 as this week’s biggest gainer with Here In Your Arms (36). It becomes Nathan Dawe’s eighth and Abi Flynn’s first Top 40 entry.

Lots of movement in the Top 40 today, but my personal highlight is the debut for 'Tonight'.
