Eminem has a fight on his hands to ensure The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) remains at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart for a second week.

Last Friday, The Death of Slim Shady debuted at Number 1, gifting the rap superstar his 11th UK Number 1 album, pulling him level with the likes of U2 and David Bowie. At the midweek mark, The Death Of…still leads the charge at Number 1, but it has one big competitor.

Less than 200 chart units away at Number 2 is Oliva Rodrigo, whose former Number 1 album GUTS gets a huge prospective boost back into the Top 10 following the physical release of the deluxe GUTS (spilled) version. GUTS previously debuted at Number 1 last year, spending one week at the summit.

SOFT PLAY – the hard-punk duo formerly known as Slaves – are predicted to gain this week’s highest new entry with Heavy Jelly (3), their first record under their new moniker. As Slaves, Isaac Holman and Laurie Vincent scored three consecutive UK Top 10 albums; 2015’s Are You Satisfied? (8), Take Control (6) and Acts of Fear and Love (8).

Glass Animals’s fourth album I Love You So F***ing Much (4) could become Dave Bayley and co’s second Top 10 UK LP, following breakout record Dreamland, which peaked at Number 2 and contained their worldwide hit, Heat Waves.

Heavy metal pioneers Deep Purple could mark their 12th Top 10 album (and first in four years) with their 23rd LP =1 (6), while Los Campesinos! Look to score their first Top 10 record with All Hell (10).

It could be a big week for London based rapper Morrisson, who is on track to debut just outside the Top 10 with his debut album British Trap Royalty (11).

BTS superstar JIMIN’s latest solo record MUSE is set to hit the UK Top 40 (25), as is Childish Gambino’s final album, Bando Stone & The New World (26), the last record Donald Glover will release under his musical alias.

And finally, following their headline slot at BST Hyde Park last week, K-pop sensations STRAY KIDS could mark their second Official Albums Chart Top 40 entry with ATE (30).
