WYN STARKS

Wyn Starks is a modern-day genre-blending pop and soul singer and old-school R&B revivalist.

Signed to Curb Records, Wyn's journey began in Minneapolis, where he grew up with his mum and four brothers. Wyn listened to a wide variety of music, from the gospel harmonies of artists like Yolanda Adams and The Clark Sisters to Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. At 13 he sang an original song entitled Angel City, at church, thrilling churchgoers and affirming his potential. Wyn went on to direct his church’s youth choir and joined a traveling ministry.

Losing his hospitality industry job during the COVID pandemic, Wyn pivoted focus to following his musical career, leading to an appearance on Season 17 of America’s Got Talent. After sharing his story with the judges, Wyn performed his hit track, Who I Am, to a standing ovation. Wyn made it to the Qualifiers round of the TV series, but missed out on a place in the finals.

Wyn's 2021 debut album Black Is Golden, is rooted in the singer/songwriter's versatile vocals, timely messages, and bold willingness to break new ground.

In 2024, Celine Dion covered Wyn's track Who I Am in her emotional Amazon Prime documentary, I Am: Celine Dion, tracing the superstar's battle with stiff-person syndrome. Wyn's uplifting song continues to resonate with those navigating a struggle to find their strength.
