Who is RØRY?

RØRY (real name Roxanne Emery) is a singer, songwriter and social media star born in Southampton on October 4 1984.

RESTORATION, RØRY's debut album, was released independently via her label SADCØRE on January 31 2025 and landed straight in at Number 10 on the Official Albums Chart a week later, giving RØRY her first Top 10 album.

Celebrating the news, RØRY told Official Charts: "I’ve just found out that my debut album RESTORATION has gone into the Top 10 of the Official Chart!

"As an unsigned, unhinged 40-year-old that decided to come back for a dream, there’s only one reason this happened – my fans, the 37 Club! If you bought this vinyl, if you came to a meet and greet, if you downloaded it – thank you from the bottom of my old and broken heart. I love you, this is for you guys!"

Speaking to Rock Sound about the making of the album, RØRY explained: "The whole thing came from a dream where I heard a voice say 'Everything you lost will be restored.'

"I’m the type of insane that thinks, 'Oh, lovely. That’s the voice of God. I guess I’m going to make that my entire personality.' I did that, and it worked. Everything I lost has been restored, from my music career to my personal life, my mental health, sobriety, and old friendships. I knew that the album was going to be called RESTORATION for a long time, and when you have a word with that kind of power it runs through the writing too."

Fun fact: RØRY also co-wrote Sam Feldt ft. RANI's single Post Malone, which peaked at Number 10 on the UK's Official Singles Chart in 2019.
