In 2024 Oasis legend and force-of-nature Liam Gallagher teamed up with The Stone Roses' John Squire - one of the most influential guitarists and songwriters of his generation. The result? Well, collaborations don't come more biblical than this.
The pair had teased a collab for some time, and in June 2023 Liam brought Squire out on stage at his Knebworth shows to perform Oasis’s 1995 classic Champagne Supernova, before tweeting “Super group incoming LG JS.”
Liam Gallagher & John Squire's self-titled debut album went straight to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart in March 2024, giving Liam his 14th chart-topping album of his career. The album was preceded by limited edition 7" single Just Another Rainbow which landed in the Official Singles Chart Top 20 at Number 16 - Liam's highest-charting post-Oasis single to date, and gave John Squire his first solo Top 40 hit also.
