KATSEYE

Katseye are a global girl group whose journey to their debut EP features in the Netflix documentary Popstar Academy: Katseye.

A collaboration between South Korean entertainment business Hybe and Geffen Records, auditions were held across South Korea, America, Japan, and the UK in 2022, with the aim of creating a group that would "transcend national, cultural, and artistic boundaries". Initially 120,000 applicants were whittled down to 20 contestants who would compete in the reality show Dream Academy with the outcome of forming a six-member girl group.

The chosen members for Katseye are Sophia Laforteza, Lara Raj, Yoonchae Jeong, Megan Skiendiel, Daniela Avanzini, and Manon Bannerman, the band trained in LA.

Katseye released their first two singles Debut, and Touch across June and July 2024, and worked on their debut EP with hit songwriters Ryan Tedder and Omer Fedi. Katseye's debut EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), was released 16 August 2024 and placed in the UK Official Albums Sales Chart at Number 45, and also entered the Physical Albums Chart and Scottish Albums Chart. Track Katseye's UK chart journey below.
