SKINDRED

Skindred were formed in 1998 and hail from Newport, South Wales. Comprising members Benji Webbe, Daniel Pugsley, Mikey Demus and Arya Goggin, Skindred are best known for fusing their heavy metal sound with other genres such as reggae and ska. 

Their first chart appearance came on the Official Rock & Metal Albums Chart in 2002 with Babylon. Skindred's first entry on the main Official Albums Chart came courtesy of their Union Black album which charted at Number 56 in May 2011. Skindred's first Top 40 appearance arrived three years later via 2014's Kill The Power (Number 28).

2023 saw Skindred celebrating their 25th anniversary, fittingly scoring a huge new personal best with the release of Smile. The Welsh rockers found themselves in a neck and neck battle with Cian Ducrot in the record's opening week, eventually finishing the race a mere 150 units behind at Number 2, but walked away with the first UK Top 5 album of their career.
