SAM TOMPKINS

Sam Tompkins, hailing from Eastbourne, is a British singer-songwriter whose first Official Chart appearance came in January 2022 courtesy of a collaboration with Jnr Choi called To The Moon, the track peaked at Number 48. Two months later Sam's first EP Who Do You Pray To? debuted at Number 7 on the Official Albums Chart.

Fast-forward to July 2024 and the release of Sam Tompkins' full debut album Hi, My Name Is Insecure via Island Records. The culmination of years of hard graft and discovery, with writer Pablo Bowman (who helped write Tiësto and Ava Max's The Motto) and producer Danny Casio (who has worked with the likes of Little Mix and Rudimental) along for the ride. 

In its opening week, Hi, My Name Is Insecure landed at Number 8, giving Sam a Top 10 debut album, and the second Top 10 placing of his career. Sam became one of the first artists to receive one of the new recently-launched Official Top 10 Awards from Official Charts when he was surprised with it live on The Record Club in association with Bowers & Wilkins.
