Doja Cat (real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, born October 21, 1995) and SZA (real name Solána Imani Rowe, born November 8, 1990) collaborated on Kiss Me More, taken from the former's album 2021 album Planet Her. Doja Cat "wanted to make a song about kissing" and "thought it would be cute" as artists don't often make songs solely about kissing. Kiss Me More resonated with the British public, becoming Doja Cat's second UK Top 5 single in May 2021 following Say So in 2020. Kiss Me More reached Number 1 in New Zealand and went Top 10 in the United States, Australia, Ireland and Canada.
