TOM GRENNAN

Who is Tom Grennan?

Tom Grennan is an English singer, songwriter and musician who was born in Bedford on 8 June 1995.

Tom originally trained to become a professional footballer and played for Luton Town, tried for Northampton Town and Aston Villa, but was encouraged into music after his friends saw him sing a song by The Kooks at a house party.

His distinctive tones come in part from having four metal plates and screws in his jaw after he was mugged at the age of 18. Tom’s first big pop break came as guest vocalist on Chase & Status’ 2016 song All Goes Wrong. He released his debut album Lighting Matches in 2018 and went on to subsequently score two Number 1 albums with 2021's Evering Road, and 2023's What Ifs & Maybes.

Tom Grennan competed for the Christmas Number 1 2024 with his Amazon Exclusive release It Can't Be Christmas. Pulling out all the stops in his bid for the festive crown, Tom committed to a Christmas Number 1 tattoo on his leg in the hope of being able to fill out the winner's name with his own. Sadly he was pipped to the post by WHAM!'s Last Christmas.
