EVERLY BROTHERS

The Everly Brothers were a US rock n' roll duo, made up of Isaac Donald "Don" Everly and Phillip "Phil" Everly. The pair began writing and recording their own music in 1956 and scored their first hit in 1957, with Bye Bye Love. Their first of four UK Number 1 singles came in 1958 with double A-side All I Have To Do Is Dream/Claudette. The Everly Brothers enlisted in the US Marine Corps Reserve in 1961, meaning their musical output slowed down - though they continud to enjoy Top 40 hits until 1968. Image: AP/Shuttetstock
