Hailee Steinfeld is an American actress, singer, and songwriter, who was born December 11, 1996 in Tarzana, California. Hailee first came to prominence for her Oscar-nominated Best Supporting Actress role as Mattie Smith in True Grit in 2010. Hailee has also starred in the movies Spider Man: Into The Spider-Verse, Edge of Seventeen, Bumblebee and Pitch Perfect 2. Hailee launched her music career after singing the Jessie J-penned Flashlight in Pitch Perfect 2 in 2015, and has since released music with MNEK, Zedd and Alesso. Hailee Steinfield also toured with Meghan Trainor, Katy Perry, Charlie Puth and Niall Horan.
