LIMP BIZKIT

Who are Limp Bizkit?

Limp Bizkit are an American nu-metal band from Jacksonville, Florida. First formed in 1994, the band rose to fame at the turn of the millennium with a line-up consisting of lead singer Fred Durst (born August 20, 1970), bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto, turntable handler DJ Lethal, and guitarist Wes Borland.

While working as a tattoo artist, Durst developed an idea for a band that combined elements of rock and hip hop, and a name that would repel listeners. Fusing rap, rock and Durst's angry vocal style, Limp Bizkit made their first appearance on the Official Singles Chart in July 2000 with the Top 5 hit Take A Look Around - the theme from Mission Impossible 2.

Limp Bizkit scored a UK Number 1 single in 2001 with the infectious Rollin’, and a UK Number 1 album later the same year with Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water. Image: London News Pictures/Shutterstock
