Banks was a terrific home remedy that eliminated the Gabriel mole ... and all possibilities of artistic greatness for Genesis beyond that scrumptious Lamb that made not enough money. He and Rutherford are the sellouts, Collins less than a sellout. Hackett had some integrity, and so left the band. It was always the Peter Gabriel backup band anyway, but even Gabriel went bad after he left Genesis. All that promise wiped out in an instant. They became the British Kansas, and Peter became Peter Lee Roth. The Lamb was an accidental work of genius, don't know how they even managed it. Good thing Punk came along, it was a sterile bloodless scene before then.
