EAST 17

Boyband East 17 were a tour de force of 90s pop. Named after the east London postcode where they grew up, their debut album, Walthamstow, also followed suit.

Founded in 1991 by original band members Tony Mortimer, Brian Harvey, John Henry and Terry Coldwell, and going through several line-up changes over time, East 17’s first chart appearance came in summer 1992 with the bold dance single House Of Love, their first Top 10 hit.

With eleven Top 10 singles to their name, East 17 also cemented their place in history by securing the 1994 Christmas Number 1 with festive classic Stay Another Day, their first and only Number 1 single. However they reached the Top 5 on several occasions including a Number 2 collaboration with Gabrielle, If You Ever. Image: Rex/Shutterstock

OCC, why are there two separate entries running for It's Alright? They are the same release but for some reason the song's last four weeks in the chart are listed separately.
