Born In The Wild is the highly anticipated debut studio album from Grammy Award-winning Nigeria-based singer, songwriter and producer Tems, released 7 June 2024 via Since 93/RCA Records.

The 18-track album boasts superstar collaborations from J.Cole and Asake in its tracklisting. When asked about her debut album Tems states, “Born In The Wild is a story of transformation, from a cocoon to a butterfly. It speaks on surviving mental wilderness and coming to a place where one can thrive. It’s about finally accepting oneself and embodying the woman I was born to be. It shows the different dimensions of who I am, from a cub to a lioness.”

In the month prior to Born In The Wild's release, Tems released lead single Love Me JeJe which reached Number 1 on the Official UK Afrobeats Chart and gave Tems her fourth UK Top 40 single on the Official Singles Chart. The song's self-directed official music video pays homage to her childhood and upbringing in Lagos, Nigeria with a stunning visual embodying the infectious, feel-good energy of her home; a dance-worthy summer anthem. The video also features Seyi Sodimu, who inspired the single as it features an interpolation of his 1997 Nigerian classic of the same name.
