Nonetheless is the 15th studio album from electronic pop duo Pet Shop Boys, released 26 April 2024 via Parlophone Records.
Recorded and mixed in East London, the album sees Neil Tenant and Chris Lowe team up with producer James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, blur, Depeche Mode, Gorillaz, Simian Mobile Disco) for the first time ever.
Speaking on the creative process, Pet Shop Boys said: "We wanted this album to be a celebration of the unique and diverse emotions that make us human.
"From the more dance-orientated tracks to the raw poignancy of the introspective ballads, with their beautiful string arrangements, each track tells a story and contributes to the overall narrative of the album."
Nonetheless is preceded by lead single Loneliness, which the group described as "uplifting music with reflective lyrics."
On 3 May 2024 Nonetheless landed as the week's highest new entry on the Official Albums Chart at Number 2. It became the duo's 19th Top 10 album, and their highest-charting LP in 31 years, since Very topped the chart in 1993. It also debuted at Number 1 on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, and was the best seller in UK indie record shops that week, reaching Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart.
