The Art Of Loving by Olivia Dean is the second studio album by the English singer that was released on 26 September 2025 through Capitol Records and Polydor Records.
The Art of Loving by Olivia Dean is a soulful collection of songs about love, connection, and growth. Following her acclaimed debut Messy, this new release showcases Olivia Dean’s signature blend of neo-soul, pop, and R&B, making it a must-listen for fans of modern soul and contemporary UK music.
Recorded over an intensive eight-week stretch in East London, The Art of Loving finds Dean surrounded by a powerhouse of collaborators. Executive producer Julian Bunetta leads a lineup that includes Matt Hales, Bastian Langebæk, Leon Michels, Zach Nahome, John Ryan, Max Wolfgang, and Matt Zara, with Dean herself co-producing. Together, they craft a sound that bridges classic neo-soul warmth with sleek modern pop.
Highlights include the shimmering single Nice to Each Other (written by Dean and Matt Hales, produced by Zach Nahome), the yearning Man I Need (co-written with Tobias Jesso Jr.), and Lady Lady, co-produced with Leon Michels and Homer Steinweiss of The Dap-Kings. Strings arranged by Rosie Danvers and Wired Strings add cinematic depth, while Simon Francis and Charlie Holmes give the final polish with mastering and mixing.
On 3 October 2025 The Art Of Loving, debuted straight in at Number 1 the same week that her single Man I Need ascended to the top of the Official Singles Chart, making Olivia Dean the first British female solo artist to score the rare Official Chart double since Adele four years prior in 2021.
