UNICORN

GUNSHIP returned with their third album UNICORN on 29 September 2023, evolving the synth-wave genre they helped to pioneer.

UNICORN successfully delivered the trio their second UK Top 40 album and a new career best, peaking at Number 26 on the Official Albums Chart. Their first Top 40 entry - 2018's Dark All Day - topped out at Number 34.

Named after the international icon of fantasy and imagination, UNICORN is emblazoned with the tagline “Imagination Is A Weapon”.

Described as a "14-track electric thrill ride", the album features special guests John Carpenter, Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Carpenter Brut, Milkie Way (Wargasm), Tim Cappello (Lost Boys), Health, Tyler Bates (John Wick, Guardians of the Galaxy etc), Lights, Power Glove, Charlie Simpson, Britta Philips (Jem), and Stella Le Page.

What have I missed here? a few days ago Gunship were a new entry at number 7, now they're a new entry at number 26 and that's their peak position??? What is this madness!

Hi Alnimal, Number 7 was the midweek position on the Official Chart Update, that' takes into account pre-orders and the first three days on sale. The final confirmed position at the end of the week is 26.
