*NSYNC are an American boy band formed in 1995, comprising Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone.
*NSYNC's first UK Official Singles Chart appearance came courtesy of Tearin' Up My Heart. Released in 1997, the group's first UK single debuted at Number 40, before peaking at Number 9 on its 1999 UK reissue.
The band's self-titled debut album, also released in the UK in 1999, peaked at Number 30 and spawned one further Top 10 single in the form of I Want You Back, which reached Number 5 that same year.
*NSYNC's second studio album, 2000's No Strings Attached, debuted (and peaked) at Number 14 in the UK; the parent album of one of their best-known hits Bye Bye Bye. Two decades later in August 2024, N Sync found themselves back in the UK Top 20 for the first time in 24 years as Bye Bye Bye was discovered by a whole new generation courtesy of its placement in the movie Deadpool & Wolverine.
N Sync's highest-charting single is Girlfriend, a track co-written and produced by The Neptunes which reached Number 2 in the UK. Girlfriend featured US rapper Nelly and was released as the third and final single from the band's third studio album, Celebrity.
