Yeah he has been struggling a bit these past few years. But every now and again he comes out with a hit, "Miracle" and "Blessings" being the two examples from this decade (and also "By Your Side" although no one really remembers that one). So, a rate of one hit per two years, and middling attempts between. I suppose it's a far cry from when he did 18 Months which had like seven hit singles on it.

I'm a bit confused that it says that Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Tears For Fears peaked at 63. It reached number 2.

It's one of the widespread quirks in the OCC's system of recording these things.

Sometimes songs that were hits in the pre-streaming era simply get their streaming-era weeks added on to their initial chart run, like the Police's Every Breath You Take recently for example, which is five places lower at no.99 this week and credited as a former number 1.

Sometimes though there's apparently been a change of catalogue number for that particular song at some point in the intervening years, in which case it appears as a 'new' hit – which is what's happened with Everybody Wants To Rule The World. In its current run, during which it's been scudding around the lower reaches intermittently since 2022, it's only ever gone as high as 63. So that's what its 'peak' is recorded as for this 'release', even though we all know it actually reached no.2 originally.

Are the numbers calculated sometimes put in wrong? Because I know that a certain song is ahead of another on Spotify, Itunes & apple streaming. But the other is ahead on YouTube.

Perter, does it honestly matter? If you're genuinely getting this angry at the gender identity of someone you don't even know outside of this comments thread, then I think you might be the one with a problem. It has literally no effect on your life at all. 

We didn't have a choice as to whether we're on this planet or not, so I believe people should be able to choose whatever lifestyle they want.

All I have to say about Eurovision this year is that the countries who boycotted it are the true winners.

The only entry I was hoping to see on the chart is Delta Goodrem’s ‘Eclipse’. That song is fantastic.

I gave the Drake entries a chance, but it’s clear that he’s well past his prime and running out of ideas.

‘Rein Me In’ can’t go on ACR soon enough. Keep in mind that it spent nine months on the chart before reaching #1 in the first place.
