The fabulous 'Be Like A Woman' by Chris Rainbow, a track from 1979, continues to remain in the 100 (just), despite no commercial backing and no radio airplay. C'mon Radio 1, 2 and mainstream commercial stations - share it with the world and give it a fighting chance to go higher.

It's crazy how there are 12 singles in the Top 40 right now that weren’t even released this decade.

We're definitely due for a big ACR clearout soon as I don't think any songs have been put on it this month.

‘Dance…’ was down several positions on the midweek update, so the fact it recovered to reach new peak is such a pleasant surprise!

In an ideal world, it becomes a huge success this summer. Slayyyter’s latest album is such a fun listen.

Never thought I’d see Mac Miller make his first Top 40 appearance in 2026, let alone with a song that has a runtime of eight minutes.

Even if I wasn’t really into his music, it’s tragic that he died as young as he did. :(

I really hope Olivia Rodrigo is #1 next week. Her new album is phenomenal and one of the best pop records of 2026 so far.

Seeing ‘The Cure’ at the top of the chart would be wonderful, but ‘Stupid Song’ has a good chance of getting there too with it being the next single.

Incredibly, 'I Knew It, I Knew You' is Taylor's first country song to reach #1 in the UK. She's definitely made better songs in this genre, but I'll take it over most of the tracks from her last album.

That said, given all the music she’s released this decade, I think it’s time for her to take a break for a few years and focus on married life.
