Official Albums Chart Top 100

You really have to search for the new music this week. It can be found in the top five of the Record Store Chart and there’s a new Country Number 1. Even the Sales chart is quiet, albeit there is an interesting EP of protest songs from U2 that suggests a return to form. But when a new entry at 4 on the Sales chart doesn’t make this top 100 you have to wonder how well it serves the industry. Either change the weighting to favour sales formats or create a separate chart, as Billboard did, which albums over 200 weeks and outside the top 20 would drop into.
