BERNIE CLARKE, my partner of 25 yrs sadly passed earlier this year; he not only played keyboards on both Oblivious and the album High Land Hard Rain … HE PRODUCED IT!
He was 18 yrs my senior so, in 1983 when Oblivious hit the airwaves (twice!) and subsequently charted I was still a skinny adolescent who taped the Radio One Top 40 EVERY Sunday evening but Iwas blown away when I heard Oblivious. WHAT A RECORD!
(I was actually here looking into Adam & The Ants but I got sidetracked. I just wanted to say that BERNIE CLARKE was a consummate musician, producer, songwriter and performer … my best friend and an amazing man.
