Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are the final headliners announced for Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park! The band will celebrate their 40th anniversary with support for Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks and The Lumineers, who this year had a Number 1 album with Cleopatra.
Tickets are on sale at 9am from Friday December 16.
Kylie Minogue's Christmas shows at the Royal Albert Hall are sadly over for another year, and she certainly went out in style! Kylie was joined on stage by the likes of Katherine Jenkins and Years & Years' Olly Alexander, the latter who sang Better The Devil You Know with the Australian pop princess. The Song of the Year nominees for this year's BBC Music Awards have been announced. Four Number 1s and a further five Top 10 singles are nominated on the 10-strong shortlist, which includes Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber and Naughty Boy's collaboration with Beyoncé.
The winner will be announced on December 12.
Robbie Williams is to headline BBC One's New Year's Eve extravaganza in Westminster. Robbie follows in the footsteps of Bryan Adams, and Queen and Adam Lambert, who have entertained audiences before the new year rings in in previous years.

Frank Ocean has been announced as a headliner for next year's Lovebox Festival - what's not to love?!
Frank, who scored his first Number 1 album in August 2016 with Blonde, will take to the Victoria Park stage next Summer. Lovebox takes place on July 14-15, 2017.
Olly Murs, Pet Shop Boys and Paul Weller have been confirmed for 2017's Teenage Cancer Trust gig at the Royal Albert Hall.
The event, now in its 17th year, takes place at the iconic London venue between March 27 and April 2. Olly makes his debut at the concert series on March 27, while Paul Weller (March 31) and Pet Shop Boys with Johnny Marr (April 2) both return.
They join previously confirmed acts The Who (March 30) and comedians Jo Brand and Kevin Bridges (March 29). Proceeds go to the Teenage Cancer Trust, which has so far rasied over £24 million from the shows across its 17 years.
Tickets for the newly announced shows go on sale on Friday, December 2 at 9am.
In addition to a mammoth 14-date arena tour that will be taking place in March and April 2017, Olly Murs will also be gigging across the summer.
Olly, who recently celebrated his fourth Number 1 album, will play 20 further dates in June, July and August 2017, playing locations such as Edinburgh Castle, York Racecourse and Bournemouth's Kings Park.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 2.

Flanked by support from Pixies and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, KoL are the third headliners announced. Also taking to the stage across the festival's 10 days include Phil Collins and Green Day.
Ellie Goulding’s third annual fundraising concert in aid of the Streets of London charity took place on November 21 at the Royal Albert Hall. The show, which helps people who are homeless in the capital, also included performances from Laura Mvula, Jack Garratt and Gabrielle Aplin.

Green Day collected their Official Number 1 Award for their chart-topping album Revolution Radio today (November 14). The record - the band's 12th - reached the summit in the UK in October.

American singer-songwriter Leon Russell passed away in his sleep on November 13. The country blues-rock star was known as a 'musicians musician' and last entered the Official Albums Chart in 2010 with The Union, a collaborative album with Elton John.
Elton led the tributes to the late singer saying he was his "biggest influence as a piano player, a singer and a songwriter".

It was a massive week for Clean Bandit this week as they scooped their second Number 1 single! Featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie, Rockabye follows Rather Be as the band's latest chart topper.
DNCE are the cover stars in the latest issue of Client magazine. The Joe Jonas-fronted band are seen messing about in a hotel for the shoot for the mag, which is out now.
The group discuss forming DNCE, their musical direction and, erm, their crazy dreams in the accompanying interview. Band member Cole said: "My dreams are very strange. They're often ultra sexual and there's a lot of aliens in my dreams, there's strange planets that I feel like I've been to and there's a lot of Penelope Cruz."
DNCE release their self-titled debut album, featuring singles Cake By The Ocean and Body Moves, on November 18.

The Who's Roger Daltrey was last night (November 7) honoured with the Music Industry Trusts Award during a ceremony hosted by broadcaster Jo Whiley.
The 25th anniversary of the MITS celebrated Roger's impact on the music industry, and we did the same by looking back on The Who's landmark moments and milestones.

Robbie Williams performed with Take That for the first time in six years at a special concert in London on November 7. The singer reunited with his bandmates for a rendition of Back For Good and The Flood at the gig, which was in aid of his BRITs Icon Award.
The show took place at London's Troxy and was filmed by ITV to be screened at a later date.

The design of the 2017 BRIT Awards have been revealed! Designed by the late Zaha Hadid just months before her death, her team have now completed the project after the architect began work on the brief in January.
So far, it has been announced that Robbie Williams will take home the BRITs Icon Award at the ceremony, set for February 22, 2017.
Ms Dynamite may have won the Mercury Prize and countless BRIT and MOBO Awards, but now she has another accolade to her name! The trailblazer unveiled her Wac Arts and MOBO plaque, bestowed to her for "paving the way to the next generation". Well done Dynamite-hee!
This feat, which comes almost 40 years after his untimely death, means Elvis has more Number 1 albums than any other solo artist.
Elvis's former wife Priscilla Presley accepted the Number 1 Award and told OfficialCharts.com: "This achievement is something I know Elvis would have been so thankful for".

Drake has announced a new project called More Life and revealed he will be releasing it in December.
"I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life, so this More Life: The Playlist," he said of the collection. "All original music from me... you might hear some tunes from the family on there."
The amazing cover is a picture of Drake's dad Dennis, who is a bit of a singer himself.
Take That's new album Wonderland is on its way... and the band will head on an epic tour in support it.
Gary, Mark and Howard's eight studio album will be released in March 2017, before the band head out to 10 cities for 22 live shows. If you needed even more reason to attend, supporting them will be All Saints!

John Legend covers the latest issue of Notion Magazine, and doesn't he look dapper?
In the interview, the singer-songwriter announced details of his new single, called Love Me Now. "I don’t think it’s a dramatic change," he said of his upcoming fifth album. "I believe that it’s progression; continuing to push myself and trying to perfect my craft and, to me, that really is to write the best songs you can write, then try to record and produce them in the best way that you can.
"It’s a bit more of a live band sound than previous albums, we used a live drummer more than we used to, so on a sonic side that’s one of the biggest differences, it gives it a more soulful feel I think."

James Arthur looked pretty shocked when we broke the news to him that his latest single Say You Won't Let Go had reached Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart on September 30.
"I wasn’t in any way expecting it," he said. I knew it was a good song and I thought some people might like it, but if you’d said to me it would be this well received, I would have thought you were pulling my leg."
A pig-shaped statue of Ed Sheeran was bought by the singer himself at a charity auction, it has emerged. The tribute - dubbed Ed Sheer-ham - fetched £6,200 at a fundraiser for St Elizabeth Hospice last week.
The sculpture was one of 39 which formed the Pigs Gone Wild art trail in Ipswich. A total of £152,550 was raised for the hospice.
Nick Jonas has acted on TV show Kingdom but now he's heading onto the big screen! Nick has been cast in Jumanji, the upcoming continuation of the story told in the 1995 movie starring Robin Williams.

Bastille celebrate their second Number 1 album Wild World with their Official Number 1 Award at their pop-up store in London on September 16.
The group described topping the Official Chart for a second time as "very surreal", adding: "This album has been a real labour of love for us… making it has been the one constant through all the madness of the last couple of years."
Lady Gaga announced details of her new album on September 15, called Joanne. The record will be released on October 21.
The album is named after her late aunt, who died at age 19 from lupus. Gaga’s own middle name is also Joanne (her birth name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.) Gaga’s parents also own an Italian restaurant in New York called Joanne Trattoria.
A big congratulations to Skepta - the winner of the 2016 Mercury Prize! According to judge Jarvis Cocker who announced the winner, it came down to "two black stars", alluding to Skepta and David Bowie for his 28th and final studio album Blackstar. Britney Spears covers the September 16 issue of NME Magazine ahead of her performance at the Apple Music Festival on September 27.
In the interview, Britney admits that her latest album Glory is "the first project where I’ve really been hands-on," adding: "The beginning of the project was actually not that great. The songs that were coming in were not very good. So we got a new A&R girl, and we totally turned it around, gave it a profound new direction. I wanted to use my voice more. I did different stuff with my voice – more bluesy and urban stuff, and played around with different things."

It was announced on September 15 that Sting will be the recipient of the the Icon prize at this year's BMI (Broadcast Music Inc) London Awards, celebrating his influence on popular music for more than four decades.
“Sting is an icon in the truest sense of the word. His musical catalog has had an enormous impact on music lovers from around the globe across multiple generations,” said Brandon Bakshi, co-host of the awards and BMI Executive Director of Writer/Publisher Relations, Europe and Asia.
The ceremony will take place in London's Dorchester hotel on October 10.
Adele paid tribute to Amy Winehouse on September 14, which would have been the late singer's 33rd birthday.
"I feel like I owe so much of my career to her," She later told fans during a concert. "That first album Frank, it really changed my life. I went to music school when I was 14, and when I was about 15 and a half Frank came out. I used to see her on TV and in magazine shoots with a pink electric guitar, and I used to think she was the coolest motherf**ker.
"And because of her I picked up a guitar, and because of her I wrote my own songs, and the songs I got signed on I wrote completely on my own. If it wasn't for her, that wouldn't have happened. So I owe 90% of my career to her."

From popstar to author (of sorts), Zayn has announced details of his self-titled book, described as a "photographic journey of his life" and a collection of thoughts, inspirations, personal stories, notes and drawings and never-before-seen personal photographs.
He said: "I'm going to show you as much as I can so that you can judge me on my own terms, not on what the press or anyone else says."
Zayn will be published in hardback on November 1.

A statue of the late Motorhead frontman Lemmy was unveiled at the Rainbow Bar and Grill on West Hollywood's Sunset Strip on August 25. The restaurant was Lemmy's favourite and was his regular hangout spot for years.
Now Lemmy, who died at the age of 70 two days after being diagnosed with cancer last December, has a life-size bronze sculpture at the renowned rock and roll venue - the result of a crowd-funding campaign which raised more than £16,600.

Adele was forced to cancel a tour date in Phoenix on August 17 because she's come down with a bad cold. Madonna talks about fame and social media in the interview, explaining: "I was already famous before social media, so for me fame isn’t the burden. Fame is the manifestation or the by-product of my work, and that was two decades before social media. Now to me the burden is people are more focused on fame than actually doing the work or being an artist. Now it’s easy to become famous. What isn’t easy is to develop and grow as an artist without being distracted or consumed with fame."

A live Glastonbury album has been announced in memory of murdered MP Jo Cox. Several artists such as Coldplay, Muse, Foals, CHVRCHES, Wolf Alice and Sigur Rós will have one of their tracks specially recorded at the festival, which happens from June 23 to 26. All proceeds from the album's release will go to Oxfam's Refugee Crisis Appeal.

Sir Paul McCartney paid a special tribute to the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, honouring the LGBT people who lost their lives. Performing in Berlin, Paul wrapped the rainbow flag around him and said in German "We stand together with Orlando".
Queen + Adam Lambert headlined Isle of Wight Festival on June 12, dedicating Who Wants To Live Forever to the victims of the Orlando terrorism attack. The song was "for anybody who has been a victim of senseless violence or hatred" said Adam.
Iggy Azalea has been announced as the newest judge on X Factor Australia! Iggy is replacing Dannii Minogue, and revealed on Twitter that she would be filming one week of auditions in June and four weeks of live shows in November. This would suggest that the series will be the shortest yet, with Iggy stating "if it were any longer I wouldn't have signed up for the show".

The music world was rocked on Thursday 21 April by news that legendary artist Prince had passed away at the age of 57. The star, who enjoyed 25 Top 40s in the UK, was found dead at his Minneapolis home, Paisley Park.

Miley Cyrus announced earlier this week that she is joining the panel for Season 11 of The Voice in the United States. Miley will join Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and fellow new judge Alicia Keys for the next series, which will debut in the latter half of 2016.
One thing you'll have to work on though Miley, you're a coach, not a judge! We'll let you off though.

Elton John and Lady Gaga stopped traffic on Hollywood's Sunset Strip as they performed a show together on Saturday, Feb 12. The one-hour set, which included some of Elton's best-known hits including Tiny Dancer and Rocket Man, was in support of his AIDS Foundation.
