I hope head on fire doesn't pull a Call On Me and not even get to the top 50 for one week the chances of that are super duper likely which is pretty sad :(

M

mehaan

1

Both Meat Loaf songs ( #32 and #46) have charted previously. They are re-entries as opposed to new entries.

K

Kiesling

2

Nice way to start 2022, we already had 3 different No. 1's this month already. Pretty interesting.

3

i am wondering how come HURRICANE by ELLA HENDERSON never charted in the UK?! Glad at least the song made it to the top 30 in a few European countries!!

avatar

thierry henon

4

i was expected KATY PERRY to be back in strength with her brand new single, which i can't stop listening, WHEN I'M GONE but i guess i was wrong! it should have been a bigger hit but didn't crack the Top 40 anywhere! shame really!

avatar

Damián

2

Agree, dont know what has happened to her career....kinda weird

avatar

thierry henon

1

Never heard of RUTH B..at number 61 with DANDELIONS...any good guys??

avatar

thierry henon

2

GRIFF only at 57!!! that can't be right!! such an amazing singer.. what i love about her is that every song she has released so far doesn't sound at all like the previous one she released!!

avatar

thierry henon

3

THE MOTTO by the amazing AVA MAX should have reached the Top 20 by now!! At least i am glad she is having massive success in Scandinavia and some other countries like Belgium, Switzerland and Holland! so underrated in the UK!!

avatar

thierry henon

3

I can see that finally the new YEARS&YEARS single reached the Top 30!! about time! not his best single of course but still a good song!

avatar

Damián

2

Love that song!

avatar

thierry henon

1

BAT OUT OF only at 26 this week??!! mid week it made the Top 10 and was expecting more of MEAT LOAF songs in the single chart this week!! Can't even see NOT A DRY EYE or I'D LIE FOR YOU AND THAT'S THE TRUTH!!

avatar

thierry henon

2

I would love to see WHERE ARE YOU NOW at number 1 soon but i am dreaming, right?!! such a catchy song!

avatar

thierry henon

1

Glad to see JESSICA climbing the chart this week but surprised to see LAUREN dropping that fast after reaching the Top 5!

avatar

thierry henon

1

I really want to see GAYLE back at number 1! i reckon 2 weeks at number 1 for the song about BRUNO is more than enough..i really liked it at first but now i found the song average and annoying!!

K

Kiesling

1

Down Under slowly reaching the top 10

avatar

rayever

2

K

Kiesling

2

By mid February it should be there though.

avatar

avatar

rayever

K

Kiesling

3

You prefer the original ?

avatar

rayever

4

yes

K

Kiesling

3

I haven't actually listened to the original before. Do you hate it because it's D'N'B ?

avatar

Joshua Sombra

1

Adele is set to go back on the Top 10 with her song "Oh My God" (hopefully) which had an initial debut and peak at #2.

avatar

Joshua Sombra

2

I would have preferred 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' to be No.1 over 'Peru', even though I haven't watched Encanto.

avatar

Damián

1

Me too, anything but Ed again at number one

PK

Philip King

5

So 2 of the Meatloaf tracks are new entries while 1 is a re-entry and yet they have all charted before.

Love most of your top ten chart. Sweet Talker is sooo good!

avatar

Piran

1

It might go up again in the next chart thanks to a high replay factor. :)

Glad you love both of them too!

It was definitely a good week for “John”s or just J artists in general on this week’s chart, haha. :)

“Heyyy, it’s been too long!”.

It certainly has, but Lost Frequencies & Calum Scott are finally Top 10! 😍

avatar

Sergej Dordij

3

It has been a smash everywhere except for the UK, until now!
Glad to see "Where Are You Now" finally make the top 10!

avatar

Karl Macnaughton

1

It really has taken that long to grow on me, but I agree! :-)

avatar

Piran

0

It never had to grow on me to begin with, haha. :)

avatar

Piran

0

We take forever to get on board with European hits to be fair! :P

avatar

rayever

2

Still Sleepless rising 😍

avatar

Piran

13

Disappointed that ‘Head On Fire’ didn’t make the Top 40 this week, but I still have hope that it’ll get there in the coming weeks. :)

So happy to see two incredibly talented & underrated popstars working together on such a bop! 😊

avatar

Sergej Dordij

4

Hopefully it does. A real grower and a real banger!

avatar

Damián

1

Really agree on that buddy! 2 of the most promising young pop stars of a new generation, recording a bop, an not enough to break the top 40, being so many trash songs in it....understanding

avatar

Piran

1

Yeah, it’s better than about 95% of songs elsewhere in the chart. :/

avatar

Piran

0

I agree with “banger”, but it didn’t have to grow on me at all! :P

J

Jamie

1

Hopefully Peru Gets It Next Week and Belters Only Gets Top Ten

avatar

Piran

11

While the circumstances behind it might be very sad, I’m glad the tributes for Meat Loaf were still enough to give him a couple of appearances in the Top 40! 🙏

I guess two out of three ain’t bad after all. :)

avatar

Sergej Dordij

2

So sad he had to return in the top 40 due to sad circumstances, but I'm happy he got there in the top 40 again!

avatar

Karl Macnaughton

4

You took the words right out of my mouth!

avatar

Karl Macnaughton

4

It's a bit confused that Bat Out Of is a re-entry and the other two are being treated as new entries. I'm sure there's some reason somewhere but I don't know what it is.

JS

John Smith

1

The OCC never makes sense when things like this happen. I'd do anything for love was No.1 in the 90's for 7 weeks but now is a new entry. Probably some silly OCC rule.

avatar

Piran

0

Now there’s not a dry eye in the house! :P

avatar

Piran

0

Agreed. :)
