Could someone explain me why no Madonna's single from her new album Madane X had entered the official chart? Thanks

Only Medellin feat Maluma entered at 83 for just one week. The other singles didn't chart

My thoughts & observations on the UK charts as always…
‘Senorita’ becomes both Shawn Mendes' & Camila Cabello's second #1 on the singles chart! It follows 'Stitches' for the former (two weeks in January-February 2016) & 'Havana' for the latter (five weeks in November-December 2017). It was streamed 8.2 million times across the country this week.
Honestly, I’d say 'Senorita' is probably up there as one of my favourite #1s of the decade (already getting a 10/10 from me when I reviewed it).
Despite this, ‘I Don’t Care’ by Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber still remains at #1 on the airplay chart for a sixth non-consecutive week.
http://ukairplaychart.com/
‘Old Town Road [Remix]’ by Lil Nas X ft Billy Ray Cyrus continues its incredible run on YouTube, reaching a 12th non-consecutive week at #1! It had 3.85 million views this week combining audio & video streams, which is a 4.7% increase from last week.

POST MALONE FT YOUNG THUG - GOODBYES (#5)
My opinion on Post Malone has changed a lot over the past couple of years & I mean, a LOT! He’s gone from having some of the worst hit songs of the year with his debut album to some of the best ones with his sophomore one, so I still wasn’t sure which side I’d fall on with this, but thankfully, I feel like this new single is a good sign of things to come! Post’s smooth delivery allows him to express the chilled vibe I’ve loved from him, while the wailing also shows the meaning behind the personal issues he mentions in the content & while I don’t think he’s nailed the latter yet, it also injects a lot of emotion to the lyrics, so it was somewhat worth it in this case. I do think that Young Thug’s falsetto did slightly kill the song a bit for me & while the trap skitter was fine, the production does get a bit muffled at times. Put that all together & you get a collaboration that only partly comes together, but does show a ton of potential, for the lead artist at least. For now, this is a strong 6/10!
MIST FT FREDO - SO HIGH (#11)
I somehow managed to go all week up until today to hear this, so I actually heard this for the first time just minutes before posting this review & wow… I didn’t expect this to sound the way it did! Yeah, I was expecting him to spar fairly well with Fredo, but what took me by surprise was how unique this is compared to the rest of his discography. It truly stands out as a potential summer anthem, where we hear both a decent level of hip-hop swagger & the chirupping female vocal samples, both of which were an intriguing fit! There’s just a sparkle about this that makes me understand why it’s Mist’s highest charting song to date & it’s also one that’ll go down well at festivals & other live events. Overall, outside of the content being about getting high (which is mostly inoffensive in this case anyway), yeah, I like this a fair bit. Solid 7/10!
D-BLOCK EUROPE - HOME (#20)
No, I’m not writing the full title on a forum like this, haha! Jokes aside, I think throwing too many members into a rap group can kill the flow of a song, which is why I’ve not got into groups like D-Block Europe as much as others have. I’ll say this though, this is probably their “best” song yet. That’s because, unlike their other big songs so far, each of the members actually have considerable chemistry with one another & they actually sound like they’re having fun. There’s also a really cool piano melody (a lot of these this week!) over a strong bass that’s almost close to thumping. Although, while the hook is at least relatively memorable for a D-Block Europe song, we also get some of the most basic flexing about girls I’ve heard in a long time on the verses, also not helped by the slathering of auto-tune on the guys’ voices. Ultimately, despite this being an improvement, sadly, it’s still far from good. Light 5/10!
FREYA RIDINGS - CASTLES (#34)
You know what, love or hate Love Island as a show, they can occasionally introduce us to some really deserving musical talent! Freya got her first chart success soon after last series finished thanks to ‘Lost Without You’, which went on to become a Top 10 hit with massive longevity thanks to consistently good sales. As for ‘Castles’, it already had some radio support from the likes of Capital for example, but Love Island playing it again along with the discount was what really pushed it on the charts. As for the song… I’m actually happy that we’re seeing this side of her! It kind of acts as a sequel to ‘Lost Without You’, as it discusses moving on from a failed relationship, which is very relatable content. It also gives a sense of hope to the listener, since we have a much more upbeat delivery than usual from her (especially with the jaunty piano & anthemic chorus) & yet, she’s still got a deeper, soulful tone that you don’t hear among many female pop stars these days. Whether or not this goes on to be a hit, we’ll have to see, but I’m just glad Freya is no longer a one-hit wonder. I’ll give this a light 8/10!
DAVE & AJ TRACEY - THIAGO SILVA (#36)
Haha, this was certainly unexpected! See, this song actually came out in 2016 before either of these artists got really big & it took a surprise team-up at Glastonbury to get this here, even with the song being placed on permanent ACR for how old it is! That said, after a few listens, it became even more apparent that this isn’t the kind of song either would put out now. I will say that they both certainly didn’t play it safe here, with Dave switching things up to a grime flow & AJ Tracey matching his energy well, which allows them to feed off one another’s delivery successfully. That said, my concerns come in about the content, because the bragging doesn’t bring the attention to me that it normally would, with some references & punchlines just not sticking the landing. I think the bigger issue might have come into the production, where the blend of bass & percussion just seems like a messy mix to me here. Overall, it’s still not bad, but this really didn’t remind me why Dave & AJ Tracey are two of my favourite urban acts in the scene right now. As such, sorry, 5/10!
LIZZO - TRUTH HURTS (#37)
Okay, I’ve slightly warmed to this since I first heard it, but I really wish that ‘Juice’ remained the bigger hit for Lizzo just for how awesome of an disco-funk throwback it was. As for this, there’s no doubt it still has an interesting melody with the groovy if disorganised piano, although the trap beat just sounds incredibly cheap here. I will say that Lizzo does bring a level of personality & confidence in both her delivery & lyrics, with some feminist content, but it also highlights how limited her vocal range is in this song, along with some flubbed rhymes, if any! Lizzo is still certainly a unique artist & I’m still interested to see where she’ll go from here, but as we’ve seen before, she can do better than this. Light 6/10 here!
On the albums chart, ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’ by Lewis Capaldi goes back to #1 for a sixth non-consecutive week.
The rest of the Top 5: ‘Step Back In Time: The Definitive Collection’ by Kylie Minogue (1-2), ‘Blue Sky In Your Head’ by Lighthouse Family (debuts at #3), ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ by Billie Eilish (stationary at #4) & ‘Direct Hits’ by The Killers (6-5).
https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/albums-chart/
Looking ahead to next week, these songs could enter the Top 40 for the first time: ‘Spirit’ by Beyonce, ‘Harder’ by Jax Jones & Bebe Rexha, ‘I Spy’ by Krept & Konan ft Headie One & K-Trap, 'Ritual' by Tiesto, Jonas Blue & Rita Ora, 'Pop Out' by Lil Tjay ft Polo G, 'Ransom' by Lil Tecca, 'Hate Me' by Ellie Goulding & Juice WRLD, up to three tracks from Ed Sheeran’s ‘No.6 Collaborations Project’ (probably ‘South Of The Border’ or ‘Take Me Back To London’ if anything) & maybe even more.
Also next week, ‘Bad Guy’ by Billie Eilish may also get a significant boost thanks to a remix with Justin Bieber that came out yesterday.
Thanks for reading everyone! I hope you all have a good weekend. :)

Didnt realise that love island had given Freya Ridings a push, pleased they have though as 'lost without you' was a great song, the next single I didnt really take to so much so I've forgotten its title but I do love castles a lot too.
There are a lot of great tracks around currently that am sure could do really well with a boost:
JP Cooper's sing it with me
Imagine dragons ft Elisa - Birds
One republic - rescue me
Camelphat and Jake bugg - Be someone
There are many more too

Hey Piran! It's absolutely fantastic finally seeing 'Señorita' going to #1, and getting both Camila & Shawn their 2nd #1! Hopefully it can return to #1 in a few weeks' time after the Ed effect has worn off. I also really love seeing 'Goodbyes' debut in the Top 5, as well as 'So High' and 'Ladbroke Grove' coming ever so close to the Top 10! It's also very impressive that, if it wasn't for ACR, 'Old Town Road' would be spending its 11th non-consecutive week at #2 this week! I also like that Capaldi returns to #1 on the albums chart, and that '÷' rebounds into the Top 10.
As for the debuts, 'Goodbyes' is easily my favourite of the week with a strong 9/10. I agree with you that the song would've been better without Young Thug, it doesn't kill the song for me. 'So High' was also a pleasant surprise for me. I've been a fan of MIST ever since I heard 'Game Changer', but this is definitely a welcome change of pace for him! Solid 8/10 here. 'Home P*ssy' is definitely the best I've heard from D-Block Europe, but yeah, still not the best. Light 6/10 from me. I do also like 'Castles' and am glad it's charted, but not as much as you since it'd be a light 7/10 from me. I really like that 'Thiago Silva' manages to chart, even if it should've been way higher. I do agree that it's not what either of them would put out today, but, even though I love both of their recent music, I kind of like that. It makes it sound quite unique for me, so I'd give it a light 8/10. 'Truth Hurts', though, I really did not like. While I wasn't the biggest fan of 'Juice', I could at least appreciate it. 'Truth Hurts' is just extremely grating and annoying for me. Light 2/10 here at best.
Next week I don't think it's any secret who's going to be #1 on both charts, but the more interesting question is: what 3 tracks will he be able to chart, and how far ahead is 'No.6' going to be? My personal predictions would be around 300k sales for 'No.6', with enough streams to pass 'Scorpion's ~50k streaming sales but not enough to pass '÷'s ~79k. I'd also say that the Top 5 next week will most likely look like this:
1) 'Beautiful People'
2) 'Take Me Back to London'
3) 'Remember The Name' / 'Cross Me' / 'Antisocial'
4) 'Señorita'
5) 'Hold Me While You Wait' / 'Goodbyes' / 'Crown' / 'So High'
Though I definitely hope that 'South of the Border' can increase enough over the week to get a #3 debut!
Piran
Hey Gameskiller! :)
I definitely agree with you regarding 'Senorita'! It certainly makes up for 'I Know What You DId Last Summer' not making the Top 40, but it's also a huge improvement from both 'Stitches' & 'Havana' (although both were still good songs). Speaking of Shawn & Camila, I'm now almost completely convinced that they're dating, since they were apparently seen holding hands & passionately kissing in public. Good for them though, hopefully it will last! :D
Moving on to Ed though & while he's obviously going to have massive chart success next week, I'm really surprised how much his two latest promotional singles have underperformed. Even without the "three songs maximum per artist rule", 'Best Part Of Me' was #26 on both sales & streaming, while 'BLOW' was #21 on sales & only #90 on streaming! That would've put the former just outside the Top 20 overall, while the latter would've probably been around #60. I get why 'BLOW' didn't do so well; rock songs never really get much streaming at all, although 'Best Part Of Me' reminded me so much of 'Perfect' that I thought it would've been at least a little bigger! :/
That said, there's no doubt 'No.6 Collaborations Project' will easily enter at #1 & stay at the top for at least a couple of months. I agree with you that it'll get one of the biggest streaming debuts ever, but certainly not the biggest overall. I wouldn't be surprised if '÷' returns to the Top 5 either, since when '÷' debuted at #1, 'x' & '+' both joined it inside the Top 5 for that week.
In terms of your predictions for the Top 5, I mostly completely agree! So 'I Don't Care' is going on ACR next week then? I believe that it would tie 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' for the biggest dropout in chart history, since both fell out of the Top 100 from #2. That said, there is a big caveat there that 'I Don't Care' would probably still remain at #2 if it were neither of those rules (which shows how pointless both of them are!).
I do think 'Senorita' will remain in the Top 5 until it goes on ACR now, even if I'm not sure if it'll be able to jump back in front of 'Beautiful People' to return to #1.
The Top 2 next week should be fairly easy to predict, but yeah, the third Ed song is certainly going to be an interesting one. Right now, I'd give 'Cross Me' a narrow edge, but both other tracks you mentioned are so close behind that it's by no means guaranteed. I also believe it would be the second time Ed has held the entire Top 3 after his massive chart dominance last time with nine out of the Top 10!
As for who'll get #5, I'd say 'Crown' is out in front for now. 'Goodbyes' seems to have faded a bit in performance from its debut, so if it was #5 this week, I don't think it'll be that high next week. 'Hold Me While You Wait' looks like it'll heading for ACR very soon, while 'So High' is only really massive on Apple Music & not anywhere else for now.
Piran
Hey Rob! :)
Yeah, I believe that's where a lot of people discovered her from, I did at least! I agree that 'Lost Without You' was a really good song. 'You Mean The World To Me' was the next single, but I'm not surprised it didn't do as well, probably because its release was poorly timed given the former was doing & the fact that it was way too similar in terms of the tone the song was going for. I still don't like 'Castles' as much as 'Lost Without You', but I'll still be rooting for it regardless.
I'll definitely check out those new songs you mentioned, although I did hear a snippet of 'Be Someone' & I was fairly intrigued by it being an EDM fan!
Piran
Thank you very much! Glad you're liking both my reviews & personal charts. :)
Matthew Wadden
D-Block Europe is actually only 2 guys, Young Adz and Dirtbike LB
Piran
Oh really? I know D-Block Europe is a collective led by them, but I had no idea that they were the only two members.
Rob Parkinson
Hey Piran,
I think I love 'castles' as much as 'lost without you' as it's such a different track and quite the opposite but still Freya delivers an amazing vocal but much more upbeat but still has the original emotion, not raw like lost without you but as you state the perfect follow up as an uplifting am over you now. Perhaps her next track could involve meeting somebody new lol. You wont be disappointed with 'be someone' ;)

I reckon Streaming only started cause singles don't sale anymore. How can so many streaming equal one sale alter it hasn't sold at all, I'm sure they make up the rules as they go along.
And the reason why Madonna hasn't made the charts is cause anyone over a certain age regardless how good a song they put out won't chart and that's wrong.
Older artists or bands from a few years ago or longer don't chart anymore and why don't rock bands get as many streams.
I just can't understand why the great new single from Keane " The Way I Feel" hasn't entered the Top 100, is it cause they are too old now which shouldn't matter if it's good enough cause it's been getting great reviews or is it cause radio just can't be asked to play it especially Radio 1.
What makes me laugh is The new album "Cause and Effect" will more than likely come in at No 1 like a lot of artists and bands, but when it comes to the single they can't hit the chart very odd.
Matthew Wadden
I misspoke somewhat as there's many members, but on most of their songs (including all but 1 of their big songs) it's just the 2
Foxes
For me, 'Havana', 'Señorita' and 'Stitches' all actually make my Top 100 songs of all time, with 'Havana' at #11 with 100/100, 'Señorita' at #44 with 97/100 and 'Stitches' at #98 with 91/100! Yeah, if Shawn & Camila are dating now then I'm definitely happy for them! They seem like a good fit for each other, though I just hope that people can respect their privacy.
According to Music Week, 'Best Part of Me' and 'BLOW' would've charted at #36 and #43, respectively. They've also just reported that 'No.6 Collaborations Project' has sold 89,845 units from Friday - Tuesday, officially making it the fastest selling album of the year so far (not that anyone'll be surprised by that), and looking likely to pass 100k by the end of the week. Honestly I'm pretty surprised that it's selling so little, relative to his previous albums, of course. Even '+' sold 102k in its first week, and 'No.6' is currently looking like it'll sell a similar amount. I'd say it should spend at least a month at the top, but I'm not even sure it'll manage 2 months. '÷' should climb as well, but I don't know if it'll quite go back to the Top 5.
With the updated streaming & sales data we have now, I'd say the Top 5 will most likely look like this now:
1) 'Beautiful People'
2) 'Señorita'
3) 'Take Me Back to London'
4) 'Remember The Name' / 'Cross Me'
5) 'Hold Me While You Wait'
I'd also say that 'So High' and 'Ladbroke Grove' have pretty good chances of climbing into the Top 10, and possibly Top 5 in the weeks to come. But yeah, 'I Don't Care' is on ACR now since it's dropped in sales every week it's been on the chart, otherwise I'm pretty sure it would've been #2. I agree that it really does just show that limiting artists to 3 tracks and putting songs on ACR is pointless as it manipulates the chart, especially since Ed would've had 7 songs in the Top 10 and all 15 in the Top 40 according to Music Week on Wednesday's update, which won't be properly represented on the final chart.
Kasper Elbjørn
Any chance the Lion King songs will efter the top 100?
Piran
I think 'Spirit' has a chance at debuting in the lower end of the chart today. Not sure about any others though.
Piran
That's awesome both of those Shawn & Camila songs are among your all-time favourite songs, including their new collaboration! Isn't 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' near the top of that list too?
I'd have thought 'Best Part Of Me' would've been higher than #36, given that it was well higher than that in both the sales & streaming only charts.
I'm surprised about the 102k combined sales projected for 'No.6 Collaborations Project' too, since that's only about a sixth of what '÷' did in its opening week. This is a much more experimental album than usual though, so I wasn't expecting to be his biggest commercial success by any means.
It just seems weird having the second biggest song of the week not being listed in the Top 100 later. It's also one of the few cases where both the ACR & three songs rules are implemented simultaneously, but also one of the instances where the chart is wildly inaccurately reflected.
I do feel like 'Senorita' could have a very good shot at being #2 later, given that it rebounded a lot faster than I expected across the board throughout the week. Wouldn't even be surprised if it goes back to #1 next week given that it's almost completely closed the gap on Spotify & it's sales lead is only getting stronger. It's slightly behind on Apple Music for now, but I think it's consistently strong YouTube might make up for that.
Piran
I really liked 'Be Someone'; it reminds me a lot of their first ever hit, 'Cola'! It'll definitely be in my personal chart next week, even if not too high up.
Speaking of Freya Ridings, have you heard anything else from her debut album that came out on Friday? I'm hoping to check it out over the next couple of days! :)
