So The difference between James Arthur and Lady Gaga in the sales chart is just 2 places but it's 13 places difference in this chart. Any explanations?

Well knock me down with a wet kipper and call me Doris! There's a rock song in the chart!

WASTE A MOMENT by KINGS OF LEON in at number 54.

The rest of the chart appears to be sponsored by Justin Bieber. Six songs in the chart. I wish his family would stop streaming his songs. :P

THOUGHTS:

-Another boring week with hardly any new movement. Chainsmokers seriously need to go away. "we ain evuuurh gi'in olduuuurh'. UGH. Only teenage chavs and people without taste like this song. The male vocalist has no emotion in his voice and Halsey sounds like a lamb mixed with a baby.
-Good to see Sia got in the top 10, the new song is ok.
-Lady Gaga's completely mediocre new song underperformed for a good reason - it's boring and forgettable.
-Very happy to see Olly Murs slide further down the chart. He couldn't crack America and continues to be a very poor man's Robbie Williams who won't be remembered in 20 years time. No idea why the bland guy still has a career to be honest. His last single flopped and missed the top 10 too. Nobody cares about him any more apart from a few weirdos who think X Factor is the height of musical quality lol. Not getting the memo, Mr Murs?
-This Girl still clings onto the top 20 :) A technicolour classic amongst an ocean of uninspired, identikit musical sewerage.

Just because an artist's song underperforms doesn't mean it's bad. Also seems like you#re solely here to hate on Olly Murs

So here are a few observations from this week's UK charts:
- Sia earns her 9th Top 10 hit & Kendrick Lamar gets his 2nd, as they claim 'The Greatest' new entry of the week. Regarding Kendrick, he's only charted higher before (also as a featured artist) on Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood', which reached #4 in May/June last year.
- Meanwhile, Ariana Grande earns her 4th Top 10 & Nicki Minaj scores her 10th. This also means that 'Side To Side' is now the highest charting single from Ariana's 'Dangerous Woman' album.
- Despite being at #4 on Monday's update, Lady Gaga quickly lost sales momentum & never had good streaming anyway, so 'Perfect Illusion' just misses out on the Top 10 which is a shame to see. I quite like the new song, but I prefer the pop-dance hits that she's always been doing.
- This Sunday will see the completion of the 37th week of 2016 & with there being 8 #1s on the singles chart so far this year, that means the average 2016 #1 has lasted 4.625 weeks, or just a little over a month. 2015 had triple the number of #1 songs... 24!
- As mentioned in another article on this website, 'Closer' finished the week with 89k total figures (31k from downloads & 58k from the streaming equivalent). 'Let Me Love You' had a total figure of 58k, or about 65% of the overall performance of 'Closer'.
- Drake has had a consecutive run inside the Top 10 since the 05/02/2016 dated chart, but even though 'One Dance' is at #9 overall, it's also #6 on streaming, yet rebounded 37-23 on sales this week.
- Over on the albums chart, there were 7 new entries in the Top 10! Congratulations to Bastille as 'Wild World' becomes their 2nd #1 on that chart. James Arthur, Emeli Sande, Kevin Simm & Lady Gaga are amongst artists to recently announce new album releases coming soon.
- Finally, I'm also pleased for The Chainsmokers & Halsey on the singles chart as well, though 'Say You Won't Let Go' should take a big climb next week as it has gradually climbed to the top of the iTunes chart & it will also be interesting to see where 'My Way' will debut next Friday.

Don`t mind The Chainsmokers being number 1 again as closer is still such a tune although i wish Let Me Love You got a week at number 1. Great to see Ariana Grande and Nicki enter the top 10 with Side by Side, glad cheat codes are still in the top 40 also. And good to see Sia climbing, although im upset Sucker for Pain hasnt hit the top 10 - overall good week with lots of movement

I personally was surprised to see Ariana in the top 10 but yeah, looks like Sucker For Pain will unfortunately have peaked at 11 now
