i can't understand where brits Kylie fans are?? have they disappeared from the face of Earth?? she's still doing great pop/dance songs. She is a legend of pop music and it seems whatever she releases it will never be a top ten anymore.. I cant understand!

I agree with other comments, I also believe the charts are fixed. The Top 40 is no longer valid, in fact it is a complete joke, take Cilla Black's Anyone Who Has A Heart....only got to 41 the other week, it it was played on the radio constantly, the downloads of the song, the TV, Press and the CD Album were sold out everywhere! I believe that is should go back to strict sales only via Downloads and Physical products like CD Singles etc. No wonder many record shops closed down....and of course we could have Top Of The Pops back at last! Took long enough BBC!

KYLIE released three brilliant songs last week but no one is on the official -If it is official - chart. She has a new entry on sales chart. Hope next week to break into this thing called official chart.I have my concerns that the top 100 is fixed ......Radio /Record companies / music industry, in my opinion as a listener and buyer ,are fighting against the artists who are over 40...They forgot that with these artists made hits and ...money.Seems that the whole industry trying the last 3 or 4 years to promote only new artists and keep them on spotlight but they last only 5 years and they do not achieve the status of the "old" ones. The whole chart is representing mostly of new singers with the same songs on charts for a whole year...Hope this to change and the charts representing by all kind of music and both new and 'old' singers...........!

It's funny how kylie is always in the mid week charts but never in the end of week. I know many kylie fans who have brought her records from the beginning including me. To me it doesn't matter if I even like the song or not now, it's kylie I'm gonna buy it. Funny that madonna ghost town never charted either and that's a great song. X

Can't it be that Kylie has totally lost her appeal? (ok pulling ya leg there lol)
The single chart is really rubbish regarding sales and only the under 18's will bother to buy 1 or 2 tracks on a cd or download.. whereas the mature buyer will go for a full CD.. notice all the veteran acts don't chart with singles anymore but have charted with their albums in the top 20.., Duran.. Aha.. Iron Maiden.. Depeche Mode... Gary Numan.. OMD.. Muse..even MADONNA.. and the list goes on.

Early 40's doesn't seem to be a problem, it seems to be late 40s that the problems start. Look at Madonna, Michael Jackson, Cher etc. They could all sell records back then, but now it's practically impossible. Age shouldn't matter, if it's a good record it should be in the charts. I am totally against this and I'm 23 years old. I think it's wrong and the music industry doesn't know what people of my age think.

Thanks for the response ! Hope' ageism ' to stop and chart rules too ...in order to give chances to 'older' singers to chart...e.g. on Physical sales chart both Madonna's Ghosttown and L.F.L. charted at no 2.
David AC
Probably meant that at one point Madonna was guaranteed to have hit singles but now seems to be more an album seller like other older artists which is unexpected as she normally stays "current"
